Patient Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
• Schedule appointments, reschedule or cancel as needed, utilizing patient management software and electronic health records (EHR).
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries to appropriate staff members.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately by entering data efficiently and updating patient files regularly.
• Process insurance claims and verify coverage in accordance with health regulation policies.
• Support medical administrative functions such as billing support, document preparation, and maintaining organized office records.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems.
• Knowledge of health insurance policies and claims processing procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality following HIPAA regulations and other privacy standards.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately to support documentation needs.
• Prior office experience preferred; certification or training in medical administrative support is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
