Job Skills / Requirements
Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:
- No Experience, No Problem!
- Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
- Customer facing role - Must have a pleasant personality
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
- Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprints
Role of Custodian/Janitor:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of a public safety building
- Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
- Disposing of trash & recycling
- Mopping & sweeping floors
- Dusting and surface cleaning
- Windows and glass cleaning
- Inventory management of supplies
Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
Shift: 8:00am to 12:00pm OR 12:00pm to 4:00pm (Monday through Friday)
