Job Summary
Afternoon/Evening and Saturday Shifts Available

West End Drop-In is looking for employees that are proficient with larger groups of children and enjoy working in a childcare atmosphere. Applicant must have experience in childcare, good customer service and organizational skills along with patience and understanding for children.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children, while promoting their physical, emotional, and social growth. The Childcare Provider will work closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their needs are met through attentive caregiving and structured activities.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Provide care for toddlers, including feeding, diaper changing, and personal hygiene.
• Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and organized daycare setting.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
• Knowledge of toddler care practices and childhood development principles is beneficial.
• Familiarity with daycare or preschool environments is a plus.
• A background in caregiving or related fields will be beneficial.
