Duties
- Assist lead teachers in preparing and organizing classroom materials and activities aligned with curriculum goals
- Support children during lessons, playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Implement lesson plans focused on literacy education, math skills, and early childhood development principles
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and social skills among children
- Help monitor classroom behavior and assist with individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education practices such as Montessori or toddler care approaches
- Familiarity with special education techniques and working with children with disabilities or autism is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to preschool age groups
- Experience managing classroom behavior and implementing behavior management strategies
- Certification in childcare or early childhood education is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is appreciated
