Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, and early childhood development
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean, safe space
- Work closely with children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring toddler care, ensuring inclusive participation
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support ongoing development and address individual needs
- Support behavior management strategies that foster respectful interactions and emotional regulation among students
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or other curriculum frameworks such as literacy education and math fundamentals
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
- Ability to plan engaging lessons and activities that support childhood development milestones
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $12.75 - $16.00 per hour
