Veterinary Technician Assistant – Entry Level
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated individual to join our veterinary team as a Technician Assistant. This is an entry‑level position perfect for someone who loves animals, enjoys hands‑on work, and wants to grow in the veterinary field. No prior experience is required — we’re happy to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians during exams and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Clean and disinfect kennels, exam rooms, and equipment
- Feed, water, and walk animals as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Support the team with daily clinic operations
- Provide gentle, compassionate care to all patients
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working with animals, including those who may be anxious or reactive
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
