John Deere Service Advisor

West Central Equipment, the John Deere agriculture and turf equipment dealership in Central and Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a Service Advisor for our Ebensburg Store.  We sell, service, and supply parts for John Deere tractors, skid steers, balers, combines, planters, mowers, utility vehicles, implements and related equipment.

The Service Advisor will be someone who has operated farm, construction or commercial mowing equipment and has knowledge of equipment engines and systems.  The right candidate has good people skills, service department experience and the ability to identify equipment problems.  West Central Equipment and John Deere provide excellent training and experience for future career growth.  High quality customer satisfaction and communications ability is required for this position.

Job Duties:

• Interpret equipment problems through listening, clarifying, inspecting and test driving
• Verify if warranty coverage, service contract or maintenance plan participation is applicable
• Develop and communicate accurate estimates, and maintain contact with customers regarding deviations from estimates
• Prepare repair orders (RO), enter RO into service database system
• Assign work to service technicians
• Maintain customer relationship and enhance company reputation
• Maintain equipment records
• Plan delivery and pickup of equipment, and coordinate trucking schedules as needed
• Prepare billing documents and complete billing and payment with customers
• Complete required training

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend English
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems used in tractors and mowers
• Solid computer and point-of-sale system skills
• Ag and Turf equipment product knowledge
• Must be willing to download company apps on your personal phone
