Service Advisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and expertise will ensure each customer receives exceptional service, accurate estimates, and clear communication throughout their visit. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and gather detailed information about service needs
• Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, providing accurate auto estimating and cost breakdowns
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and auto body repairs
• Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
• Manage service writing tasks efficiently while maintaining accurate records of work orders and customer interactions
• Handle cash transactions professionally while ensuring all payments are processed securely
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships

Requirements

• Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes
• Experience working with a variety of systems including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, brake systems, air brakes, and auto body repairs
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers
• Previous experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus
• Valid knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, and more
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and recordkeeping

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
