SUMMER JOB - Lot Attendant

West Central Equipment is a well-established John Deere Agricultural and Turf Equipment Sales and Service Company with multiple locations in Western and Central Pennsylvania. We have an opening at our BUTLER and NEW ALEXANDRIA locations for a Lot Attendant.

The purpose of the Lot Attendant position at a West Central Equipment location is to oversee inventory movement to and from the business, develop and maintain storage patterns and practices, and keep accurate inventory records in the dealer business system. This is a seasonal position.  Work can start immediately for a candidate who can work now through mid-August.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain effective storage locations and patterns for equipment, implements and attachments
• Unload incoming shipments of equipment and parts by driving the equipment or using a forklift or skid loader
• Move tractors, skid loaders, mowers and other ag and mowing equipment to storage and display areas
• Load and unload commercial and customer trucks and vehicles
• Enter inventory information into the dealer business system
• Move equipment, implements and attachments to service areas for technician repair or setup and pre-delivery
• Other duties as assigned by managers, which could include lawn maintenance and equipment detailing

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• Driver's License
• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Computer skills - ability to use standard software programs and make entries in the dealer business system
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to operate, or learn to operate, a forklift, skid loader and John Deere equipment safely
• Familiarity with ag and turf equipment and parts is a plus
• Must be willing to download company apps on your personal phone
