What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Milling Cell Lead — Hands-On Production and Operator Development position at Werko Machine Co?
It’s 7:30 AM in Pennsauken, NJ. The floor is cool and quiet in our climate‑controlled 18,000 sq. ft. facility. A new custom job hits the cell: complex geometry, strict GD&T, and unforgiving tolerances. You review the print, map the workholding and tooling strategy, program the path in CAM, and bring a Haas VMC to life. The first‑article measures dead‑on with micrometers and gauges. Then you hand the station to an operator—coaching the setup steps and the changeover checklist—before tuning feeds, speeds, and offsets to lock in repeatability.
If that scenario sounds like a good morning, you’ll thrive as our CNC Milling Cell Lead at Werko Machine Company. We’re increasing capacity across custom and high‑precision projects and need a hands‑on leader who can elevate programming, setup, and people on the shop floor.
