WellSuited Talent is partnering with a reputable general contractor with an established presence in the Charlotte, NC region to identify an Assistant Superintendent to support ongoing construction projects throughout the area.

The Opportunity
The Assistant Superintendent will support onsite project leadership by helping coordinate daily construction activities, assisting with subcontractor management, and contributing to project execution aligned with safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
This role provides strong exposure to field leadership and offers long-term growth potential within project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist field leadership with coordination of daily construction activities
- Support supervision of subcontractors and trade partners onsite
- Help maintain project quality standards through inspections and documentation
- Track field progress and support schedule adherence
- Coordinate material deliveries and workforce planning activities
- Assist with implementation of site safety procedures and compliance initiatives
- Participate in project coordination and planning meetings
- Support communication between field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Assist with quantity tracking, material planning, and field reporting
- Contribute to development and mentorship of junior field staff
Qualifications
- Approximately 3–6 years of experience in commercial construction/multi-family construction field operations
- General contractor experience preferred
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and project specifications
- Familiarity with construction sequencing and scheduling concepts
- Working knowledge of building codes and job site safety practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; scheduling software experience is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
Work Environment
This is an onsite position requiring daily presence at active construction sites within commuting distance of the Charlotte, NC Metro area. The role involves working outdoors in varying conditions and includes walking job sites, climbing stairs or ladders, and extended periods of standing.
