What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Home Caregiver position at Wellspring Lutheran Services?
Description
Personal Assistance Caregiver - Home Health Aide | Supporting Independence, Dignity & Daily Living
Wellspring Lutheran Services – Frankenmuth & Saginaw | Travel | Full-Time or Part-Time | Hourly $14.00 - $15.25 | Accepting applications until September 7, 2026.
You chose caregiving because you wanted to help people.
Not just with daily tasks, but with the things those tasks make possible.
A warm meal means someone can maintain their health. A ride to the grocery store means someone can continue living independently. A helping hand with personal care means someone can remain safely in the comfort of their own home. A conversation over coffee means someone feels connected rather than alone.
You understand that caregiving is about much more than assistance. It's about dignity, independence, companionship, and quality of life.
At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for Personal Assistance Caregivers who are passionate about helping older adults and individuals with disabilities remain safe, independent, and connected to their communities.
As a Personal Assistance Caregiver, you'll provide support in clients' homes, helping them navigate daily activities while preserving their independence and sense of self. Your work will allow individuals to remain where they are most comfortable, surrounded by familiar routines, treasured memories, and the communities they call home.
Most importantly, you'll help people continue living life on their own terms.
What Your Impact Will Look Like
You'll build meaningful relationships with clients and become someone they trust and look forward to seeing.
You'll provide support with daily routines and personal care, helping individuals maintain dignity, comfort, and independence in their own homes.
You'll help create safe, welcoming home environments by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, errands, and other everyday tasks that become more difficult with age or changing health needs.
You'll offer companionship and encouragement, helping reduce isolation while supporting clients' emotional and social well-being.
You'll observe changes, communicate concerns, and collaborate with your supervisor and team members to help ensure clients receive the support they need.
Some days you'll be helping a client prepare a favorite meal, assisting with personal care, or accompanying them on errands. Other days you'll be sharing stories, assisting with exercises, helping maintain a routine, or simply being a reassuring presence during the day.
Every day, you'll help make independence possible.
Why This Role Matters
For many people, remaining at home is more than a preference. It's where they feel comfortable, connected, and in control of their lives.
The support provided by Personal Assistance Caregivers allows individuals to maintain their independence longer, stay engaged in their communities, and continue enjoying the routines and surroundings that bring them comfort.
Your work helps make that possible.
