Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to address issues promptly.
- Maintain building interiors through painting, carpentry, drywall repairs, and general refurbishment tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment repair needs including circuit troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters and schematics interpretation.
- Service facilities equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other building infrastructure components.
- Assist with installation projects or upgrades involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring, or mechanical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding quickly to maintenance requests and communicating clearly with residents or staff regarding repair status.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing system maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair and building interior maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Skilled in carpentry, painting (including residential painting), welding, and general handyman tasks.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures for a variety of building systems and equipment (MRO—Maintenance, Repair & Operations).
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks effectively and ensure safety compliance.
- Leadership qualities for guiding team members or assisting in training new staff when needed.
