Position Summary
The HR Administrator provides daily administrative support for Human Resources operations, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee records management, and reporting. This role ensures accurate processing of HR transactions, supports employee needs, and maintains compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide daily administrative support for HR and recruiting functions
- Assist applicants with the application process and candidate flow
- Answer employee and applicant inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, badges, and system entry
- Process and maintain employee records in HR systems (SAP, time system, I-9, etc.)
- Complete employment verifications within required timelines
- Assist employees with tax forms (W-4/A-4), direct deposit, and general HR processes
- Coordinate temporary staffing requests and maintain temp placement reporting
- Support payroll processes, including timesheets, notices, and check distribution
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, I-9 requirements, and internal policies
- Maintain accurate tracking of hires, exits, and retention data
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HR reports, spreadsheets, and retention tracking tools
- Conduct exit interviews and assist with retention analysis reporting
- Update job postings and distribute to appropriate stakeholders
- Monitor and follow up on background checks and pending employee requests
- Prepare onboarding materials and compile payroll packets for new hires
- Scan, upload, and maintain employee documentation in electronic systems
- Coordinate supply orders and employee store requests
- Maintain and distribute employee communication (new hire lists, quit lists, etc.)
- Support audits and ensure accurate recordkeeping across HR systems
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required) and HR systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
Education and Experience
- HR, administrative, or office support experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume environment is a plus
