Group Home Staff – Overnight Shift (11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.)

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Overnight Group Home Staff.
Schedule:
Overnight shift: 11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with nightly routines and personal care, including hygiene and preparing for bed.
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Conduct regular safety and room checks and document sleep patterns.
- Administer medications according to training and company policies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in the group home.
- Provide companionship and reassurance to residents who may wake during the night.
- Maintain detailed documentation of resident care, behavior, and any overnight incidents.
- Follow individual support plans, ensuring each resident’s needs are met.
- Perform light housekeeping to prepare the home for the morning.
- Wake residents up in the morning and assist them with morning routines.
- Help residents get dressed, complete hygiene tasks, and prepare for the day.
- Prepare simple breakfast items as needed.
- Ensure residents are fully prepared for school and/or day support programs, including gathering lunches, personal items, and confirming transportation arrangements.
- Communicate important overnight updates to incoming day staff to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful of residents' privacy and dignity.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the overnight shift.
- Ability to lift or move residents as needed (training provided).
- Willingness to work flexible days, including weekends and holidays.
