What are the responsibilities and job description for the Privacy Compliance Attorney position at Wegman Partners?
I am working with a prestigious, market-leading boutique firm looking to add to its in-house legal team with an Information Governance and Privacy Compliance Attorney.
This role will oversee the firm's information governance compliance, including data management and retention, privacy compliance, legal hold governance, information lifecycle management, and more, while also collaborating with the IT and Innovation teams on security compliance and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of experience advising on security, privacy, and data governance with experience in information governance and privacy compliance
- Experience working either in a law firm or in-house, with the ability to develop policies, procedures, workflows, and to work cross-functionally with other groups and senior leadership teams
- CIPP/US, CIPM, IGP, CRM, CRA or other similar certifications are all a plus
- A JD and license to practice in DC, NY, CA, or CT
