A boutique Commercial Real Estate Law Firm in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal & Closing Coordinator to support attorneys in a fast-paced commercial real estate practice. The firm handles a high volume of real estate transactions and works closely with lenders, borrowers, and institutional clients across a wide range of commercial real estate matters.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with attorneys and partners throughout the lifecycle of transactions, with significant exposure to deal coordination, transaction management, and closing processes.
This is a very collaborative team environment where paralegals work closely with attorneys and receive hands-on training and mentorship. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple transactions at once, and motivated to become a valued member of the team.
Responsibilities
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal & Closing Coordinator will assist attorneys with the coordination and management of commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Coordinating and managing commercial real estate closings across multiple simultaneous transactions
- Maintaining and organizing virtual deal rooms and transaction files
- Tracking transaction deliverables and maintaining closing checklists
- Coordinating with attorneys, lenders, borrowers, title companies, and other transaction parties
- Preparing and organizing closing binders and final transaction documents
- Managing execution copies, signature packages, and document distribution
- Coordinating the collection and organization of due diligence materials and third-party reports
- Maintaining organized digital records of transaction documents and correspondence
- Assisting with document preparation using established templates and forms
- Supporting attorneys with the overall coordination and administration of high-volume transactions
Because this is a high-volume transactional practice, the role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage many moving pieces at once.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Prior experience in commercial real estate law or transactional legal work preferred
- Experience supporting real estate transactions, financings, or leasing matters is a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfort working with document management systems and virtual deal rooms
An interest in leveraging technology and improving workflows is a plus. Experience with AI or legal technology tools is welcomed but not required.
