What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Exterior Cleaner (Residential) position at Weekender?
Morning Exterior Cleaner (Residential)
Part-Time · Mornings · Phoenix, Scottsdale & Paradise Valley

Done by lunch. Nobody to manage.
Weekender takes care of the outside of people's homes on a regular schedule, the way a housekeeper takes care of the inside. We show up weekly, every other week, or monthly and get the backyard, side yards, and front yard ready to enjoy. That means furniture dry and ready to sit on, the patio rinsed, and the grill polished. We're not landscapers and we're not the pool company. We do the reset, and we do it carefully.
We're hiring a Morning Exterior Cleaner to join our small crew. You'll get a clear checklist for every home, hands-on training on every tool, and a team partner working right alongside you. Your job is to do good work, show up on time, and be reliable.
No experience needed. If you're dependable and you care about getting the details right, we want to hear from you.
Why people like this job
- A steady schedule. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting as early as 7:00am. The same hours every week to start and opportunity for future increase in hours, if desired.
- You're outside. Most of the work happens on patios, pool decks, and lawns, and Phoenix mornings are great most of the year.
- You always know what "done" looks like. Every stop follows the same checklist, so there's no guessing.
- It's mostly tasks, not people. This is hands-on, heads-down work. If a client stops to ask you something, we'll have trained you on what to say.
- You see your results. You pull up to a dusty patio and leave it looking like a resort.
- AirPods at 60 days. As long as your work stays on point, you can listen with one in while you work.
- A great home base. Our downtown Phoenix office building has a rooftop pool, gym, and sauna you can use on your own time.
A typical stop
Every visit covers the whole outside of the home. With your team partner, you'll:
- Drive the Weekender van (a full-size Ford Transit) between homes
- Rinse the dust off the patio, walkways, and hardscape
- Rinse the outdoor furniture, wipe down the cushions, and hand-dry everything so it's spot-free
- Rinse and hand-dry the outdoor kitchen, then polish the grill and anything stainless
- Hand-wipe the ceiling fans, light fixtures, and string lights
- Pick up after the dogs and rinse the grass or turf so the family can walk barefoot
- Clear leaves off the lawn with a quiet blower and pick up light debris
- Wash and hand-dry the front door and garage door, and rinse bird droppings off the house
- Run a motorized brush along the pool's waterline and skim the surface
- Uncover the patio furniture, set it up for the weekend, and blow up the pool floats
Some visits also include extras: soft washing the whole house or washing windows from the ground with an extension pole. We'll train you on all of it.
On lighter days, you'll help keep the van and equipment in top shape and get supplies ready for the next morning.
You'll fit right in if you:
- Like being outside and moving around
- Are a morning person, or can fake it convincingly
- Take pride in doing things right, even when no one's checking
- Speak up when something breaks or looks off, even if it was you.
Reliability matters a lot here
We're a small crew, and every morning is planned around the people on it. When someone doesn't show up, a teammate ends up doing two people's work. We need people who arrive on time, every shift. If you're sick or have a real emergency, that happens. Just let us know as early as you can so we can adjust the route.
