Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction among children
- Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and development
- Engage children with age-appropriate educational games, arts and crafts, storytelling, and other interactive activities
- Support behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions and emotional growth
- Assist with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children when needed
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and parents
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons or weekends as needed
