Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings, ensuring their safety at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized caregiving as needed
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other caregivers to communicate children's progress and address individual needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages learning and play while adhering to all safety regulations
- Apply first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents involving children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with special needs or disabilities is advantageous
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility and nurturing skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and adapt to varying developmental needs
