RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the head coach in planning, organizing, and conducting daily football practices and training sessions.
- Help develop game strategies and play-calling for competitions.
- Provide individual and group instruction to student-athletes to improve their skills and understanding of the game.
- Monitor student-athlete performance and progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among players, coaches, and opponents.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive and effective football program.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the football program.
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state regulations regarding athletics.
- Participate in team meetings, coaching clinics, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians about team activities and student-athlete progress.
- Assist with the organization and execution of fundraising activities and community outreach programs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, school administration, and parents.
- Commitment to the academic success and well-being of student-athletes.
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained upon hiring.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during the football season.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for games and events.
