Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Athletic Training & Occupational Therapy Administrative Specialist will be a self-motivated team member with excellent customer service, organization, communication, data tracking, document preparation, modern technology, and multitasking skills. The individual will work independently and in a timely manner to prioritize duties including to reconcile and monitor monthly budgets and purchasing cards, process purchase orders, enter academic classes into the course schedule, prepare documents, disseminate department information, take meeting minutes, assist with events, attend/complete all required training, coordinate with University entities, and assist the department chair as well as faculty, staff, and students in a variety of administrative and light laboratory duties.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Two years of clerical, administrative, and/or office manager experience.
- Computer skills with experience in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Seeking applicants with excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines with quality work.
- Proficient with spreadsheets.
- Experience with Banner, Argos, and Concur is a plus, but we can provide training for these if needed.
