The Athletics Academic Stadium House for Student-Athlete Success is seeking Tutors & Mentors to work individually with assigned student-athletes across various majors/subjects. The position is suited for individuals who are comfortable with mentoring/tutoring student-athletes in a fast paced environment that may need instruction on test taking tips, note taking skills, calendaring, time management, and other academically-related skills necessary for student-success. In addition we are seeking tutors with expertise in the following areas: Math, English Anatomy, Chemistry, Accounting, Professional Sales, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and Nutrition.
The Tutor/Mentor must demonstrate the ability to work well with student-athletes from different backgrounds in all sports, varying life skills and abilities, differing languages and learning styles. You have the ability to set your hours. The Athletics Academic Center is open on Monday – Thursday (7:30 AM – 9:00 PM); Friday (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM) & Sunday (5:00-9:00 PM).
H.S. diploma or GED.
Word processing, basic computer and typing skills. Email.
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate to high levels of computer skills: spreadsheets, databases, internet. Personable. Flexible.
Mentors should be available mid-day and/or evenings to work around student schedules.
Federal Work Study Preferred
