Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable General Contractor to oversee and manage residential and/or commercial construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, schedules, materials, and budgets while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from planning through completion
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews
- Schedule project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Order and manage materials and equipment
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements
- Monitor project budgets and control costs
- Communicate project updates with clients and stakeholders
- Resolve job site issues and maintain project progress
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a General Contractor, Construction Manager, Superintendent, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Contractor's license preferred (if applicable)
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Budgeting and cost estimation experience
- Proficiency with construction management software
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Full-time position
