Construction Project Estimator

Responsiblities

• Review and analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documents to accurately create a budget proposal to the client.
• Prioritize and organize deadlines for bidding requirements.
• Create, submit, and track prebid RFIs.
• Create bid forms to receive subcontractor proposals.
• Level subcontractor proposals to establish the correct budget.
• Coordinate with the project team to establish appropriate allowances in the budget for work not completely clear on the bidding documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs to review with subcontractors to confirm accurate scope
• Use quantity take-offs and company unit rates to establish budgets for work to be performed by internal tradesman.
• Solicit subcontractors for proposals to ensure competitive pricing is established.
• Represent the company on pre-bid walk-throughs to obtain pertinent information to execute an accurate proposal with existing conditions and owner’s requirements.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven ability to create a complete proposal for commercial construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 is required
• Must have excellent communication skills and a natural ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
• Must be self-sufficient, detail oriented, and highly organized
• Must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
