Responsibilities
- Produce detailed drawings, plan sets, and volume calculations for various disciplines including landfills
- Communicate with Project Managers and Senior Engineers on constant basis about project work and designs
- Listen and understand the questions and be able to provide the best possible solution for implementation
- Responsible for providing design assistance for all production assignments, doing research to solve design problems and working with other resources to streamline processes
- Develop design concepts and create project design deliverables from sketches, written and/or verbal instructions
- Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation
- Ensure that the design concept and deliverables are complete and meet company or client requirements, applicable codes, and standards
- Make revisions to project drawings marked up by Project Manager and/or Engineer
- Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming convention in accordance with company or client standards
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set-up and manage contract and construction drawings
- Create and/or modify base drawings, which may be used in a variety of presentation documents
- Can be relied on as productive team member and AutoCAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company and client standards
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time in different locations and states
- Follow CAD standards
- Checks final drawing to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy of drawing
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Understanding of the Windows Operating System
- Technical school certificate in CAD design or an Associate’s Degree in CAD or related engineering discipline
- 4 years of related experience will be considered as equivalency for certificate or degree.
- Verbal skills and organizational ability to communicate with project managers and engineers.
- 10% Travel
- Occasional Overtime as needed
