Head of Marketing

Weave
San Francisco, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/7/2026
Why Weave Exists

At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development. We do this by equipping human experts with AI instruments to enable drugs to be brought to patients as rapidly, safely, and inexpensively as possible.

The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory workflows from start to finish by intelligently, creatively, and effectively infusing every step with AI. Together with our customers, Weave is designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle.

The Role & Your Mission

Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Marketing will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving all marketing strategy and pipeline impact. This operationally minded marketing leader will define and execute Weave Bio's full-stack marketing function, ensuring scalable processes, predictable performance, and strong positioning and demand generation discipline. This leader will build and mentor a growing team, refine segmentation, personas, and channel strategy, and establish the foundation for sustained growth as Weave Bio expands globally.

What You'll Own

  • Marketing Leadership: Lead, inspire, and scale Weave Bio's marketing organization to elevate the company's presence across biotech and pharma, and CRO customer segments. Establish clear marketing goals, drive accountability, and foster a performance-oriented culture grounded in data and execution. Act as a hands-on leader capable of engaging strategically with executive stakeholders at top-20 global pharma companies as well as emerging biotech firms, representing Weave Bio's narrative and value proposition with credibility and precision.
  • Growth & Scale: Build and evolve a high-performing marketing organization as Weave transitions from founder-led and event-heavy marketing to a scalable, repeatable multi-channel engine. Drive the company through its next phase of growth by refining segmentation, ICPs, and persona strategy, optimizing mid-market and enterprise engagement, and establishing integrated campaigns that support predictable, sustained growth.
  • Complex SaaS Marketing: Bring experience managing multi-channel marketing programs for complex, AI- and data-driven software products, ranging from lighter-touch digital motions to high-consideration enterprise initiatives. Understand how to position and message solution-oriented SaaS for scientific and technical audiences including VPs of Regulatory Affairs, CMOs, and Program Managers through a consultative, insight-led approach.
  • Operational Rigor & Process Discipline: Evaluate and enhance existing marketing processes, tools, and metrics to drive consistency and forecast accuracy. Introduce structure around campaign management, funnel analytics, attribution, and performance measurement by segment. Build repeatable playbooks and dashboards to track marketing performance and translate company goals into clear, actionable targets across all levels of the team.
  • Market Expansion & Global Growth: Partner closely with product and leadership to expand Weave Bio's presence across international markets as the company builds coverage beyond the FDA into Europe, Japan, and Latin America. Develop marketing strategies to penetrate new customer segments and verticals while supporting the launch of additional modules that extend the company's platform across the full regulatory lifecycle (IND, NDA/BLA, post-market).
  • Early-Stage SaaS Growth Environment: Operate effectively in a fast-paced, venture-backed environment with high growth expectations and limited layers of structure. Collaborate with the CEO, CCO, and investors to shape marketing strategy, narrative, and positioning, ensuring Weave Bio's continued leadership in AI-driven regulatory technology. Bring a bias toward execution, a focus on measurable impact, and an ability to scale systems and people as the company grows.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated marketing leadership in B2B, high-growth SaaS environments, spanning product marketing, demand generation, content, and brand.
  • Strong product marketing foundation β€” ideally with a clear spike in positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, and enabling sales for complex technical products; able to translate deep product understanding into differentiated GTM execution.
  • Proven track record scaling marketing organizations from early commercial traction (~$3–5M ARR) through $20M ARR within venture-backed, fast-growth environments.
  • Experience leading diversified SaaS marketing motions across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments, supporting both shorter-cycle digital motions and longer enterprise consideration cycles.
  • Demonstrated success marketing complex, AI-enabled or data-centric platforms to technical and scientific audiences, ideally within life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Analytical and data-driven operator with strong command of forecasting, segmentation, persona development, channel performance, and funnel analytics to drive predictable pipeline contribution.
  • Proven ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing marketing teams across functions using a metrics-driven and performance-oriented approach.
  • Experienced collaborator across Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align GTM strategy, strengthen feedback loops, and maximize lead-to-revenue conversion.
  • Demonstrated success entering new markets and launching new product modules; experience balancing founder-led marketing with scalable, repeatable programs.
  • Process-oriented, metrics-driven leader who creates clarity through KPIs and instills a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic operator and thought partner to the executive team; able to influence direction while remaining grounded in data and execution.
  • Hands-on, player-coach style. Comfortable rolling up sleeves while mentoring and developing others.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller who can articulate Weave Bio's value, narrative, and positioning to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Mission-driven, empathetic leader who motivates through purpose and leads with transparency and integrity.
  • Collaborative partner who builds trust across functions and operates effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
  • Customer-centric and audience-centric mindset with a relentless focus on clarity, relevance, and long-term relationship building.
  • Self-motivated team player who leads by example, holds self accountable for performance, and takes absolute ownership of the marketing function.
