Position Overview
The Commercial Construction Superintendent oversees day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects. This role manages subcontractors, coordinates schedules, ensures safety compliance, and drives projects to successful on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining quality standards. The Superintendent works closely with project management, clients, and field teams to ensure smooth execution from mobilization through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Manage subcontractors, labor, and materials to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with project management, clients, and design teams to resolve field issues.
- Monitor project schedules and adjust resources to maintain timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance.
- Facilitate project closeout, punch lists, and turnover to owners or operations teams.
- Track project progress, costs, and reporting for leadership review.
