Project Manager – Healthcare Construction
I'm partnering with a respected project management and consulting firm that is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare construction projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has managed capital projects for hospitals, healthcare systems, owner's representative firms, general contractors, or architectural firms supporting healthcare clients.
The successful candidate will oversee projects from planning and design through construction and closeout, working closely with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage healthcare construction projects through planning, design, construction, and occupancy.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
- Review project documentation, contracts, and consultant deliverables.
- Participate in project programming, design coordination, and construction administration.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing healthcare construction or capital improvement projects.
- Experience working for a General Contractor (GC), Owner's Representative (OPM), healthcare institution, or architectural firm supporting healthcare clients.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Hospital renovation or new construction projects.
- Medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, laboratories, or academic medical centers.
- Owner's representation or capital projects experience.
- Familiarity with complex occupied healthcare environments.
