- _Program Dates:_ January 12, 2026 – June 26, 2026
- _Position Summary_ This role will support our Test Engineering Team at Abiomed – A JnJ MedTech company. As a Test Engineer, the individual will conduct engineering tests, analyze and document test data, and design and implement test improvements and fixturing. A candidate for this position should be driven by our patient-centric mission and will have the unique opportunity to engage across multiple innovative Abiomed product lines.
- _Key Responsibilities_
- Design and develop engineering tests as well as document test protocols and reports
- Conduct engineering tests for product development and quality engineering projects
- Design and qualify engineering test fixtures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, quality, and equipment design _Minimum Requirements_
- Available January 12, 2026 – June 26, 2026
- Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong testing, analytical, and engineering problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and also collaborate cross-functionally
- Knowledge or experience with general engineering lab equipment (Instron, Keyence Microscope, 3D printer, multimeter, etc)
- Experience with SolidWorks preferred Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
