Estimator/Project Manager

Summary:

Managing, estimating and selling roofing services offered by the company’s service department. Corresponds with multiple types customers and reviews, determines and recommends needs and/or strategies for existing and new rooftop related construction or service. This position requires working independently inside and outside of the office and reporting directly to the Service Department manager for approvals.

· Pay: $80,000.00 Depending on qualifications

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Taking orders from customers related to roof service, roof repair or other roof services. Evaluating existing roof conditions and providing recommendations to the customer while offering the best value for services to be performed. The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. • Submits customer maintenance agreements, performs roof inspections and prepares written roof reports from performed roof inspections.
• Prepares work orders with directions for execution by roofing field employees.
• Reviews and interprets architectural plans, specifications and project documents.
• Perform follow-up reporting to customers and gathers customer administrative information.
• Inspect existing roof systems and/or evaluate conditions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for work related to roofing scope.
• Prepare estimates and proposals and sends to customers.
• Orders non-stock materials, subcontractor services and equipment as needed for Service Department projects.

Requirements:

• Practical construction knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and plans and perform field and digitalized takeoffs.
• 1 Year Experience in digital blueprint reading.
• 1 Year in Estimating
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong organization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, workflow and deadlines.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm in a fast paced environment.
• Experience in commercial roofing / waterproofing repair solutions.
• Experience bidding and in sales and closing sales, including public, private, and federal clients.
• Experience and practical knowledge in working with MS Office is required as well as strong math aptitude.
• This position would require field investigation of roofing.
• Jobsite inspections are a mandatory part of this position so candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be capable of climbing ladders on a repetitive basis and with little fear of heights.

Preference will be given to experienced candidates who are enthusiastic, with the desire to be actively involved in all aspects of participating and contributing to the success of a larger contracting firm.
