What you’ll do:
- Review proposals developed by others to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Help to improve the processes for estimating, takeoffs, and proposal development to increase throughput, win rates, and data-driven insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate with clients to design practical, cost-effective electrical solutions.
- Develop proposals and lead follow-through to project award.
- Leverage existing relationships to generate repeat and referral business.
- Source specialty items.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing.
- Preconstruction management - submittals, site plans, handoff to field teams, etc.
Skills and abilities:
- Ability to travel within the state of Washington
- 3 years’ minimum experience in construction project management
- 5 years' minimum experience in electrical estimating / preconstruction
- Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
- Established network in relevant industries
- Proactive and disciplined with strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Consistent, persistent, and ambitious with an aptitude for identifying opportunities and selling services
- Ability to research and identify strategic prospective clients and decision makers
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships, including strategic partnerships
- Ability to formulate and share creative solutions to position services that meet client needs and improve internal operations
