Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Production Manager. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating all aspects of our production projects; from development and pre-production through production and editorial. Projects span a variety of styles, deliverables and overall production needs. The successful candidate must have a strong background in logistics and scheduling coordination, deadlines management, excellent communication skills with both crews and clients, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Production Manager will be expected to be on-location, which will require travel away from Little Rock. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate: Work alongside the Director, Producer, and the rest of the Waymack Crew to ensure we are not just delivering but exceeding client expectations from processes to final delivery.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of production across multiple projects at a time. This includes pre-production (shoot schedules, crew recruitment, casting coordination, etc), production (managing crew needs on-location), and post-production phases (managing editors workflow and deliverables).
- Budgeting and Scheduling: Coordinate and work within the parameters of a project’s budget; ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Maintain production schedules, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Client Communication: Serve as a main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Crew Coordination: Hire and manage crew members, including camera operators, sound technicians, editors, and other production staff. Coordinate crew schedules and ensure all necessary equipment and resources are available.
- Location Scouting and Permits: Manage location sourcing, obtain necessary permits, and ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
- Talent Management: Coordinate casting calls, auditions, and talent bookings. Oversee talent contracts and ensure all necessary releases and agreements are obtained.
- Production Logistics: Arrange transportation, accommodation, and catering for crew and talent. Coordinate equipment rentals and purchases as needed.
- Production Support: Provide on-set support during shoots, ensuring smooth operations, troubleshooting any issues, and maintaining a positive working environment.
- Post-Production Coordination: Collaborate with editors and post-production team to ensure timely delivery of final products. Review and provide feedback on drafts, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on final deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production management, preferably within the film or video production industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, crew members, and talent.
- Ability to identify problems, as well as determine and manage relevant solution(s).
- Willingness to take direction, but also work independently.
- Proficiency in project management, software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry-standard production equipment, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by production schedules.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-location shoots.
