What are the responsibilities and job description for the O&M Wireless Field Technician position at WAVSYS?
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on telecommunications equipment, ensuring network reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and alarm issues, implementing effective solutions.
Respond to and clear alarms in a timely manner to minimize network downtime.
Collaborate with RF Engineering to diagnose and resolve issues such as dropped calls and handovers.
Create and maintain detailed work logs and tickets in the computer system to track and document all activities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Field Technician in the telecommunications industry.
Prior experience with network equipment and systems is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of telecommunications equipment, including microwave and base station components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and ticket management.
Must be able to work independently and manage a defined scope of work.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Note: This role focuses on operational and maintenance activities. It does not involve integrations, 10-gig upgrades, or other development-related tasks, which are handled by a separate team.
Salary : $40 - $42
