Job Description:
Wavsys is seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Manager to join our team, dedicated to supporting our key client. This is a unique hybrid role that blends the critical responsibilities of Construction Management with the technical expertise of a Field Engineer. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for site-level activities, ensuring the successful deployment, optimization, and maintenance of our client's wireless network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Management (CM) Duties:
Site Supervision: Conduct regular site walks and inspections to monitor the progress and quality of work performed by General Contractors (GCs) and subcontractors on wireless cell sites.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all site activities adhere to safety standards, as well as local regulations and permitting requirements.
Schedule Management: Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and proactively work with GCs to mitigate risks and keep projects on track.
Quality Assurance: Verify that installations meet design specifications, quality standards, and deployment guidelines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate site logs, progress reports, and documentation related to site construction, including photos and deficiency tracking.
Materials Management: Coordinate with logistics and procurement to ensure timely delivery and availability of necessary equipment and materials on site.
Stakeholder Communication
Punch List Management: Identify and track punch list items, ensuring timely completion and resolution by GCs.
Field Engineering & Troubleshooting Duties:
Site Issue Resolution: Respond to and troubleshoot technical issues that arise on active BTS (Base Transceiver Station) and cell sites.
Alarm Analysis: Diagnose and clear network alarms, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Equipment Commissioning & Integration: Support the commissioning, integration, and optimization of new Nokia BTS and related RF equipment.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance metrics, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal network health.
