Grinding Operator

Position Summary:

Wausau Tile is seeking a hardworking, safety-conscious individual to operate terrazzo grinding machinery. This role includes machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance to ensure consistent, high-quality tile production. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review schedules and verify machine setup; perform daily startup procedures.
• Operate interconnected grinding equipment and support machines (e.g., pallet trolleys, face grinders, ovens, UV systems, polishers, forklifts).
• Monitor and adjust pneumatic, water, and chemical feeds during production.
• Maintain consistent product quality and perform preventative maintenance as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motion.
• Use of ladders and stairs; exposure to manufacturing environment conditions.
