Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight and Day Worker to join our dynamic caregiving team. This vital role involves providing high-quality support and assistance to residents across various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and community homes. As an Overnight and Day Worker, you will play a crucial part in ensuring residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being during your shift. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor vital signs regularly and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
• Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory impairments to promote safety and comfort
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining proper nutrition
• Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to foster social interaction and mental stimulation
• Maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for all care provided
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
• Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols and emergency response plans
• Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings in compliance with licensing requirements

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care strategies
• Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in long-term or home & community care settings
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures
• Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral management skills preferred
• Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation is advantageous
• Valid driver’s license for driving residents safely when required
