Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight and Day Worker to join our dynamic caregiving team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor vital signs regularly and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory impairments to promote safety and comfort
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining proper nutrition
- Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to foster social interaction and mental stimulation
- Maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for all care provided
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
- Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols and emergency response plans
- Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings in compliance with licensing requirements
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care strategies
- Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in long-term or home & community care settings
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures
- Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral management skills preferred
- Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license for driving residents safely when required
