Substitute Nutrition Service Kitchen Assistant

Required Qualifications.

• Must be able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to twist, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods of time on hard floors.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents.
• Must be able to operate a computer and handle money (receive, give correct change, and balance cash drawer).
• Must be willing to comply with federal, state, and department guidelines. Current safety and sanitation certification, civil rights training, and safe schools training.
• All training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.
• Hours expected to work are anywhere from 6:30 a.m.- 1:30 pm, with shifts no shorter than 4 hours. Preferred Personal and Professional Competencies
• Previous food service experience is helpful.
• ServSafe Certification.
• ServSafe Allergens.
• Fundamental math and reading skills.

• Daily duties include, but are not limited to: meal service, dishwashing, cleaning, production record keeping, food preparation, cashier, and customer service.
