EHS SPECIALIST
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to: Plant Manager
Compensation: $60K - $80K

Your Role:
As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional, you'll lead compliance and safety initiatives at our growing facility. You'll maintain and improve EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct trainings, complete environmental reporting, and oversee daily operations of a modern wastewater treatment system-helping keep production safe and sustainable.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; drive corrective actions.
- Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks on PPE, chemical handling, and emergency response.
- Maintain permits, safety documentation, and compliance reports (e.g., PCRs).
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and support compliance audits.
- Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system, including pH adjustment, metal
- extraction, and storage.
- Manage wastewater flows (up to 30,000 gallons) and coordinate sampling and lab testing.
- Track, file, and maintain required environmental and safety reports.
What You'll Bring:
- 3-5 years of EHS experience, ideally in manufacturing or chemical processing.
- Solid knowledge of OSHA, safety standards, and environmental reporting.
- Experience with wastewater systems and chemical treatment is a plus.
- Ability to manage permits, audits, and agency relationships.
- Organized, communicative, and team-focused.
