What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Accountant FT position at WATERFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
Waterford Public Schools has an immediate vacancy for a team-oriented individual. A Junior Accountant will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, with shared responsibility for one or more major functions within the finance office. Knowledge in areas of compliance with accepted accounting standards, applicable rules, regulations, and statutes will be beneficial in this role. Experience in accounting involving the analysis and recording of financial transactions, and preparation of financial reports with considerable knowledge of accounting theory and its application to accounting transaction particularly not-for profit accounting preferred. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Operations.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A college degree or college-level course work in Accounting preferred.
This is a full-time, twelve-month position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Salary range: $65,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience and education.
