Summary: We are looking for a motivated and dependable Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in our New London, CT office (on-site position). This role is responsible for key accounting functions such as journal entries, inventory and cost accounting, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and brings a strong understanding of financial data. Prior experience in manufacturing sector preferred.
- Maintain month-end analysis schedules, bank reconciliations.
- Assist with cost accounting, including material, labor, and overhead analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
- Support AR and AP Reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
- Assist with month end and year end closing
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Support Ad-hoc projects.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; manufacturing sector preferred.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices; GAAP a plus.
- Experience collaborating with external auditors and tax accountants.
- ERP systems: Epicor, Quickbooks, Macola & Tableau experience desired.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
