POSITION SUMMARY |

Passionately supports the core values and goals of the church by developing a safe, fun and faith-shaping Christian discipleship program and spiritually-nurturing environment that will enable the 4 year old’s – 5th grade children to grow in their passion for God and compassion for people. Equips the core leaders in the Awana program with the tools and resources necessary to enhance the experience of the kids and families that are in our care. |

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |

As a Ministry Coordinator, coordinate a single ministry function or team of volunteers or interns. May have some assignment for making sure staff or a team of people completes assignments, does not have the responsibility of completing performance reviews. Evaluate the health and success of the ministry and deliver feedback to supervisor. May be responsible to monitor and oversee a ministry budget. Collaborate with other ministry teams when appropriate. Cross-train and support children ministry weekend programming and special events. |

Administration – Provide administrative support including sending communications, scheduling, inventory tracking, social media updates, database, routine cleaning/maintenance of equipment/storage area, ordering supplies, organizing/archiving materials, etc. May prepare material for program using a variety of methods, including social media tools, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher. Other duties as assigned. |

Program Development – Order, organize and distribute all program curricula, resources, and supplies. Evaluate the program and recommend improvements. Ensure that all aspects of the midweek program run smoothly. Regularly submit Serving Central projects and ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner. |

Leadership – The Midweek Program Coordinator is expected to build the teams necessary for the department to run smoothly and effectively. Provide direction, enthusiasm, leadership and support for Awana leaders, clubbers and parents. Assist with training and scheduling and provide leadership development for Awana Directors and Secretaries. Must have a passion to recruit, train, schedule, and relationally invest in the core leadership team of the Awana program. Strategically schedule, manage and retain well-matched volunteers to meet the needs of all the children during services. Equip and empower the midweek core leadership team with the resources necessary to meet the needs of the children and families in our care. Engage with, encourage and provide prayer support for volunteers. Trouble shoots issues as they arise. |
