What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hispanic Ministries Worship Coordinator position at WATER OF LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH?
Supports the core values and goals of the church by coordinating and maintaining quality of worship for the Hispanic Ministries at Water of Life. Responsible for leading worship for various services/events, as needed. Provides volunteer coordination and oversight. Reports to the Associate Pastor of Hispanic Ministries.
Oversee and maintain quality of worship in the Hispanic Ministry including, but not limited to, weekly Sunday services, women’s ministry, men’s ministry, retreats and events. Responsible for creation of set list, creative elements and running weekly rehearsals. This role is also responsible for the community, development and musical growth of the worship volunteers within the Hispanic Ministry. Responsible to continue to grow musically and spiritually to facilitate worship.
Lead worship for various Hispanic Ministry services/events, as hours permit. Attends ADV-related worship meetings for debrief, prayer, and brainstorming. Other duties as assigned.
As a Ministry Coordinator, coordinate a single ministry function or team of volunteers or interns. May support and guide volunteers in completing assigned tasks; no supervisory or performance management responsibilities. Evaluate the health and success of the ministry and deliver feedback to Associate Pastor of Hispanic Ministries. Collaborate with other ministry teams when appropriate.
2 years’ worship leading experience
• Intermediate knowledge in music theory; ability to lead from either piano or guitar
• 1 year experience coordinating ministry/volunteers with the ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
• Able to work flexible hours, be available on evenings and weekends as program requires
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of office technology tools including web-based, Facebook, Instagram, MS Office, Publisher and database use
• Friendly, flexible, able to multitask, enjoys working with all kinds of people
• Able to work flexible hours, be available on evenings and weekends as program requires
• Bilingual Spanish-English speaking
• Aspire to be a Christian role model in accordance with 1 Timothy, chapter 3
• Maintain a consistent relationship with God, demonstrate a strong and growing walk with Christ and live a Biblical lifestyle that honors Christ
• Be personally committed to the ideals, values and mission of WOL
• Be a regular tither to WOL
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential information; refraining from gossip

• Be/become a Member at Water of Life and regularly attend its weekend services
