We are a family-run home daycare seeking a kind and dependable Childcare Assistant to help care for children ages 3 years and under while supporting our morning preschool program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and interested in growing with our program.

For the right person, this role could develop into increased responsibility and leadership opportunities, including helping lead our childcare program in the future.

Hours

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Care for children in a licensed home childcare environment.
• Lead a brief morning circle time for children of all ages and help create a positive start to the day.
• Supervise children during breakfast and snack while working alongside the lead teacher .
• Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, handwashing, dressing, and transitions between activities.
• Support outdoor play and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities while preschool instruction is taking place.
• Assist with lunch and help prepare children for nap by diapering, changing into sleep sacks, and following established sleep routines.
• Follow all licensing requirements and established procedures for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining a healthy classroom environment.
• Communicate with the provider regarding children’s needs and any concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the provider and assistant teacher to maintain a calm, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children required.
• Patient, dependable, and comfortable caring for multiple children at once.
• Ability to lift and carry young children when necessary.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire, required.
• Must meet all education and background requirements for licensed home daycare staff.
• At least 18 years old

Compensation is $17-$20 per hour depending on experience

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
