Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to support the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development principles. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young learners, assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities and ensuring the well-being of every child.
Duties
- Support classroom activities by helping plan and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Assist in supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and special needs.
- Implement health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure the well-being of all children.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by providing tailored care and assistance as directed by educators or specialists.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to respond promptly to emergencies.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
