Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster literacy education, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote physical development, cognitive growth, and early math skills using innovative teaching methods such as Montessori techniques
- Monitor individual progress through observations and assessments aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing when applicable
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address behavioral concerns, and support child welfare initiatives
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of classroom management and childcare best practices
- Incorporate diverse educational tools including literacy education resources, sensory activities, and physical education to support holistic development
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including behavior management and classroom management techniques
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing specialized programs such as special education or early intervention services
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other progressive educational philosophies preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Background in childhood development theories, literacy education strategies, and working with students with diverse needs
- Ability to maintain a safe environment while managing multiple responsibilities within a busy classroom setting
