Duties
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including sensory play, music, and movement
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
- Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and milestones to support individualized learning plans
- Foster positive behavior management strategies that encourage social skills and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules that balance structured activities with free play
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's daily experiences and developmental updates
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response in emergencies
- Background in special education or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting enhances your suitability for this position
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom environment effectively while maintaining a warm, caring demeanor
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for young children
