What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Warriors Heart?
Warriors Heart - a Private Adult Drug & Alcohol Treatment that specializes in serving our Warriors – Military, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, First Responders and Civilian Warriors. The facility is hiring a Controller.

The Controller is responsible for the financial well-being of the operations, and future operations. This would include profit and loss, balance sheets, investor capital accounts and statements of cashflow. The Controller implements, trains and enforces the budgets to the facilities.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- - Manage A/R and A/P
- - Reconciliations – intercompany, G/L, bank, etc for multiple companies - Payroll for employees, 1099’s for contractors, payroll taxes, etc
- - P&L and Balance Sheets
- - Maintain accurate financial reports
- - Create and maintain spreadsheets, budgets, cost controls, trends, forecasting
- for various departments
- - Maintain Capital accounts
- - Manage Vendor accounts
- - Resolve billing disputes
- - Forecasting using historical numbers, industry trends, etc. to support Warriors Heart in achieving its financial goals
- - Knowledge of insurance revenue cycle
- - Capacity planning and growth strategies
- - Working according to GAAP
- - Working with team on payroll, insurance coverage, contract negotiations
- - Supervision of financial team
- - Work with managers/directors of the admissions team, insurance team, HR
- - Work closely with the Founders
Requirements to include but not limited to:
- - Minimum 5 years experience in executive level accounting management
- - Bookkeeping and Accounting Experience
- - Advanced Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Knowledge of and ability to learn basic human resources and insurance revenue cycle
- - Experience with Capital Accounts
- - GAAP
- - Successfully pass a background check
- - Team Player and excellent communicator
- - Calm demeanor, mission driven, dedicated to sobriety
- - Knowledge of addiction and PTSD in the Warrior class
- - Knowledge of JCAHO and Texas Department State Services policies
- - HIPAA Compliant
