Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Controller located in San Antonio, TX. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial statements, accounts, budgets, and financial reports. Daily tasks include managing accounting operations, coordinating audits, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise accounting department and collaborate with credit department
- Ensure timely and efficient posting of entries in accounting software
- Accurately prepare financial statements and reports
- Direct the month-end close process
- Review account reconciliations and monthly journal postings
- Oversee weekly payroll processing
- Modify or create and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Respond promptly to information requests from both internal and external sources
- Take on additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong accounting skills, including proficiency in managing financial statements and accounts, and experience with accounting software
- Knowledge in budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable, and coordinating audits
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is preferred
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
