About the Role
The Warren County Property Valuation Administrator's Office is hiring a Property Data Technician to join our team. This role is the eyes and ears of our office in the community, gathering accurate property data in the field, then helping us turn that data into reliable, useful information. You'll split your time between visiting properties across the county and working with the characteristics you collect back at the office.
We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys being out in the community, isn't afraid of a conversation with a property owner, and takes pride in getting the details right.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit properties to measure improvements and collect characteristic data, working from building permits and assignment lists
- Create accurate sketches of structures for property records
- Photograph properties as part of the physical inspection process
- Enter and update collected data into our office systems
- Interpret and review property data for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with property owners to gather, confirm, and clarify information
- Assist with identifying discrepancies or trends in field data and flagging them for follow-up
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable working independently in the field and driving to properties throughout Warren County
- Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful manner when working with the public
- Proficiency in Excel; comfortable with Microsoft Word and basic data entry
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to interpret data for accuracy
- Real estate, appraisal, or GIS experience a plus
- Reliable, team-oriented, and invested in serving the community well
